180 kilometres. 14,500 metres of elevation gain. 5 days.
That’s the challenge Michèle Frutiger, a team member at Piguet Galland in Neuchâtel, took on this summer by completing the legendary GR20 alongside eight other women, in an adventure led by Alix Noblat (former participant in Koh Lanta).

A physical feat, of course.
But above all, a deeply human experience – one that mirrors her unique way of supporting clients.

A demanding trail, an extraordinary journey

The GR20 is considered one of the most challenging and spectacular treks in Europe.

Stretching across Corsica from north to south, this long-distance trail covers around 180 km and is usually completed in 16 stages over two weeks. Michèle did it in just 5 days.

“We didn’t know each other. But we shared a desire to push our limits and reconnect with what really matters.”

Across rocky paths, high ridges, searing heat and technical descents, each stage tested both body and mind. And that’s where the parallel becomes clear: succeeding in such a challenge requires listening, foresight, adaptability, humility and perseverance.
Just like building a long-term client relationship.

Trail running, discipline… and passion

This wasn’t her first challenge. Michèle runs nearly every day. She has competed in marathons across the globe, training early in the morning or between client meetings.

Running is her balance – a way to focus, to go further.

“Sport teaches me to stay consistent in my effort. You need to be in tune with yourself, with others, and with your environment. These are instincts I bring into my work, too.”

A client relationship shaped by humanity

As a Private Client Advisor in Neuchâtel, Michèle embodies a rare approach in the banking world: one of active listening, genuine support, and quiet yet powerful commitment. She builds bespoke relationships, attuned to the pace, priorities and reality of each client.

Because whether it’s guiding a life project or completing a demanding crossing, it all comes down to the same foundations: trust, preparation, and a shared desire to go further – together.

Intimate banking, lived every day

At Piguet Galland, we believe that personal journeys, passions and values are what shape a different kind of banking relationship.

The one we call intimate banking.
A relationship that is closer, more committed, more human.

And through her personality, her love for trail running, and her ability to build meaningful connections, Michèle is a truly inspiring embodiment of that spirit.
