To mark Piguet Galland’s 25th anniversary in Neuchâtel, Michèle Frutiger, Head of Private Clients Neuchâtel, welcomed RTN to our offices. It was an opportunity to discuss our roots in the canton, the evolution of private banking and, above all, the importance of building relationships based on trust over time.
For 25 years, Piguet Galland has been supporting clients in Neuchâtel with the management and organisation of their wealth. Five years ago, we further strengthened our presence in the region with the opening of our offices in La Chaux-de-Fonds, reflecting our commitment to remaining close to our clients across French-speaking Switzerland.
Appearing on RTN’s En boîte programme, Michèle Frutiger, Head of Private Clients Neuchâtel, reflected on Piguet Galland’s presence in the canton and what it represents for the Bank today.
“Having an office in Neuchâtel […] really is at the heart of our strategy,” she explains.
This proximity enables our teams to develop an in-depth understanding of the region, its economic landscape and the challenges faced by its residents and entrepreneurs.
Behind every wealth management question lies a personal journey. Preparing for retirement, planning the transfer of wealth to the next generation, adapting one’s wealth strategy or simply taking a step back to review one’s financial situation: needs can vary considerably from one client to another.
For Michèle Frutiger, trust therefore remains one of the essential foundations of the profession.
Trust cannot simply be assumed; it is built gradually over time. Piguet Galland’s 25-year presence in the canton, together with the stability of its Neuchâtel team, has enabled lasting relationships to develop between clients and their advisers.
This continuity lies at the heart of our approach to private banking: knowing our clients, understanding their plans and concerns, and providing support that goes beyond the management of their investments alone.
A quarter of a century in the region also provides a valuable perspective on the transformation of the canton and its economy.
With its strong industrial and watchmaking sectors, Neuchâtel has its own distinctive economic profile. Despite the cycles that can affect these industries, Michèle Frutiger highlights the region’s continued dynamism: “The momentum in the canton of Neuchâtel is very, very positive.”
For Piguet Galland, this anniversary is therefore an opportunity not only to reflect on how far we have come, but also to reaffirm our commitment to the region.
After 25 years in Neuchâtel, our ambition remains unchanged: to stay close to our clients and build lasting relationships with them, founded on attentive listening, trust and a deep understanding of their needs.
