Piguet Galland has been voted 'Best Private Bank Switzerland' by the trade magazine 'International Banker' for the third consecutive year (2021, 2022, and 2023).

International Banker is a quarterly magazine published in England and distributed in 80 countries. Each year the magazine awards several prizes to the best banking institutions.

As in previous years, the jury's decision was based on several essential aspects of Piguet Galland's performance :

  • Firstly, the high-quality deployment of their strategy for proximity, primarily focusing on the Swiss market. The success of this strategyis notably demonstrated through a consistent inflow of new clients. The strategy is based on the Bank’s recognised expertise in the three main pillars of its service offerings : wealth advisory, investment solutions, and financing solutions.
  • The acceleration of the digitalisation of the client interface has also made a significant contribution. The "Client Digital Journey" project, launched at the start of 2023, aims to transform the client interface and experience. A major, recent achievement was the launch of a new, more in-depth, and contemporary website.
  • The migration to the Cloud, with the implementation of the "Papillon" project, has enabled the Bank to significantly modernise its technological infrastructure.
  • Finally the Bank’s longstanding commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was consecrated in 2023 with the attainment of B Corp certification and the "Great Place to Work" accreditation. This policy not only leads the Bank to integrate ESG criteria into portfolio management but also strengthens the corporate culture. Piguet Galland strives to offer employees an empowering and equitable working environment, focused on enhancing individual employability and collective intelligence.

“Winning this award for the third consecutive year illustrates the success of the audacious strategy we've deployed over the past decade at Piguet Galland. Previously, major financial institutions such as UBS, Pictet, and Julius Baer have received this honour. Our success in 2021, reiterated in 2022 and yet again in 2023, demonstrates that various models exist to attain excellence in Private Banking. It's not about a race to become the largest actor; our strategy of building close relationships, centred on attentive, personalised service, has proven to be the key to creating value by working constantly to ensure the serenity of our clients," states Olivier Calloud, CEO of Piguet Galland.

This year's Banking Awards were open to nominations from all banking institutions, regardless of size, market capitalisation or number of employees.

The nomination process for the Banking Awards begins with the magazine's readers, who nominate banks they deem 'deserving' based on their personal experiences. A jury then selects the winners, considering both quantitative and qualitative data provided by the nominated banks. These awards recognize financial institutions that excel in customer service while adhering to high standards of regulatory compliance. The evaluation criteria include liquidity growth, profitability, product innovation, use of information technology, corporate governance, transparency, and sustainability.
