Nicolas Wilde: a career guided by analysis and curiosity

At Piguet Galland, certain career paths are built over time, shaped by projects, exchanges and a constant curiosity. Nicolas Wilde’s journey is a natural illustration of this.

A Career Guided by Analysis and Curiosity

Having joined the bank as part of his Master’s degree in Wealth Management (GEMWeM), Nicolas quickly distinguished himself through the quality of his analysis and his methodological rigour. From the outset, he demonstrated sharp critical thinking and a genuine ability to transform complex data into clear and valuable insights for the team.

Curious and solution-oriented, he did not confine himself to pure analysis. Nicolas also took an interest in the tools, methods and levers that help improve day-to-day efficiency.

Innovation as a Natural Extension of Analysis

Over the course of his journey, Nicolas has developed automation and artificial intelligence solutions aimed at optimising certain internal processes and enhancing the quality of deliverables. A pragmatic approach, driven by the pursuit of consistency, precision and time efficiency in support of expertise.

His ability to bring finance, technology and practical application into dialogue reflects a modern approach to the profession, fully aligned with the current challenges facing private banking and its digital transformation.

A Contribution Built for the Long Term

Beyond his technical skills, Nicolas stands out for his professionalism, reliability and commitment to the team. His journey has been shaped by collaboration, continuous learning and a search for meaning, in line with the culture of Piguet Galland.

His story illustrates how the bank supports talent in their development by providing an environment that fosters high standards, innovation and long-term progression.

Interview with Nicolas Wilde

Could you briefly introduce yourself and tell us what made you want to join Piguet Galland?

My name is Nicolas Wilde, I am 23 years old and I am an Investment Consultant within the Investment Solutions team. What motivated me to join Piguet Galland was, above all, the opportunity to become part of a human-sized bank where corporate culture lies at the heart of its values. It also offered the chance to grow and apply my academic background in a dynamic environment shaped by technological innovations that are redefining our sector. I am truly grateful to the Bank for offering me this opportunity straight after completing my Master’s degree.

What have you learned most since joining Piguet Galland, both professionally and personally?

Professionally, I have learned that in a world that evolves so rapidly, one must never stop learning and developing. On a personal level, what stands out most to me is that success is above all collective. I would not be where I am today without the support of my team, whom I would like to sincerely thank for their daily guidance.

Is there a particular project or defining moment that stands out in your journey so far?

Starting one’s professional life is filled with defining moments, but I would say that my first client meeting was a truly formative experience. I realised the level of rigour required and, above all, the gap between the theory learned over recent years and the reality on the ground. I understood that some things cannot be learned from books, but are simply acquired over time.

How would you describe your contribution to the team today and what you bring on a daily basis?

I would say my contribution is twofold. On the one hand, I am involved in investment advisory, portfolio management, as well as research and content creation for our clients. At the same time, I bring an additional dimension by working on the automation of our internal processes to improve the team’s efficiency.

Looking ahead to 2026, which areas would you like to continue developing or deepening?

First of all, I would like to become more involved in the client-facing side of our activity, which lies at the heart of what we do. I am fortunate to be surrounded by experienced colleagues from whom I can learn a great deal. I would also like to continue the momentum built in 2025 by developing new optimisation solutions for the team. Finally, I intend to pursue further professional development, with the objective of progressing towards obtaining the CFA certification.

Your Master’s thesis received excellent recognition. Could you tell us a few words about it and explain how it relates to your role at the bank?

My Master’s thesis focused on the integration of automation and artificial intelligence in private banking. It explored how the tools I developed internally contributed to the personalisation of investment advice, operational efficiency and the optimisation of portfolio management. This work directly reflects my role at Piguet Galland, where I seek each day to combine technology and human expertise in order to better serve our clients.
