We are pleased to announce our support for the exhibition presented by Photo Elysée, one of the world’s leading museums dedicated to photography.
This collaboration reflects our commitment to visual culture and to promoting the living heritage that shapes the identity of our region.
This year, Piguet Galland is supporting the exhibition “Enquête photographique vaudoise – The Perspective of Six Photographers”, presented from 28 June to 28 September 2025.
As part of this project, six photographers – Thomas Brasey, Olga Cafiero, Sarah Carp, Matthieu Gafsou, Yves Leresche and Romain Mader – have been commissioned by the Canton of Vaud to document living traditions listed in the inventory of intangible cultural heritage of Vaud.
Their unique perspectives explore rituals, craftsmanship, popular beliefs, local stories and emblematic skills through sensitive and contemporary projects:
- The Nouvelle Compagnie des Brigands du Jorat
- Practices and predictions drawn from the Messager Boiteux almanac
- The art mechanics of Sainte-Croix
- The rituals of the Vaudois youth societies
- The itinerant life of the Cirque Helvetia
- The making of the traditional papet vaudois
The works on display will become part of the permanent collection of Photo Elysée, thus contributing to our collective memory.
We look forward to sharing with you this celebration of photography and Vaudois cultural heritage.
